Melbourne, VictoriaSmart Urban Properties Australia (SUPA) has secured a landmark five-year contract with Salta, a leading Australian property, developer, owner, operator and investor, to provide embedded energy services combined with an innovative Solar Power Purchase Agreement (Solar PPA) across five high-quality Salta commercial properties.

Servicing Salta’s properties located in Richmond and Mulgrave, in Victoria, this partnership will serve 97 lettable spaces and five common areas, enhancing operational efficiency and sustainability for Salta’s commercial tenants.

The announcement builds on a successful collaboration for the pair at Salta’s Build-to-Sell residential development positioned on the Yarra River in Melbourne, Walmer Residences. Here, SUPA delivered energy and hot water services and EV charging infrastructure to 64 residential apartments and two retailers.

This new agreement brings SUPA’s expertise in sustainable energy services to Salta’s commercial properties, for a new partnership that aims to lower energy costs, increase property value, and advance Salta’s commitment to sustainability.

“We are excited to expand our partnership with Salta and deliver affordable energy services that also align with Salta’s sustainability goals. This project reflects our shared vision of supporting communities with affordable, eco-friendly energy,” said Geoff Horth, SUPA Group CEO. “Our managed-energy solutions will deliver both immediate operational savings and long-term environmental benefits.”

The Solar PPA will play a crucial role in powering the sites with renewable energy, reducing carbon emissions and furthering Salta’s sustainability objectives.

“We’re proud to partner with SUPA on this exciting project, which will reduce energy costs for our commercial tenants while supporting our broader environmental goals,” said Nikki Paton, Director, ESG at Salta.

This new venture cements SUPA and Salta’s ongoing commitment to delivering value-driven, sustainable property solutions and paves the way for future collaboration
